3 Reasons Why I Love Europe

It’s no secret that I love Europe with all my heart. I have an obsession with British history and French fashion. I fall for European guys the moment I hear their accents. Since I was young, I’ve had a fascination with the old continent.

3 Reasons Why I Love Europe

History

I’m a history nerd, especially when it comes to European History. History was my favorite subject during school and my favorite books are historical fiction especially the Tudors and the War of Roses.  I was always drawn to castles and queens (Elizabeth of York, Anne Boleyn, Marie Antoinette, Queen Victoria & Elizabeth I & II). I started to have an obsession when I was 10 with Anne Boleyn, the second wife of Henry VIII and one of my role models.  I love that in any European city, you can feel and breathe history.  I remember my first trip to Europe was Italy. I got chills walking in Rome and seeing all those ancients ruins standing there where a lot of historical events happened. Famous characters were walking in the same ruins as you. When I went to the Tower of London, I cried.

Fashion

They have 3 the major cities of fashion: Paris, London & Milan. I feel European people are not afraid of trends or expressing themselves through clothing.  Their style is so chic, and I love it. Who’s not inspired by the French? Who doesn’t love a good trench coat, red lipstick or white t-shirt? European style is definitely a bit more sophisticated and classic.

Food

My favorite food is Italian. Like I can eat pasta all the time. I have an obsession with macarrons. When I was living in Spain, I gained a lot of weight thanks to all the tapas and wine. I don’t like spicy food…I know it’s shocking because I’m Mexican, I really have a Marie Antoniette inside me. GIVE ME ALL THE CAKE!

I still believe one day I will live in Europe. The 3 times I have gone, I’ve been my most happy self. Also, can we talk about Rachel’s photos? I was so excited about these pictures.  They are perfect!
