Feeling like a doll

For me, the fun part of fashion is that you can express yourself through clothing. Whether exposing a period time, a character or how you feel during the day. That’s why my favorite movies are always the ones with a good costume design. Many times I like dressing to feel like I’m a character. I like costumes a lot. That’s why my favorite part of the day is when I need to decide what to wear. Fashion is also a form of expression.

The day I wore this outfit I was feeling like a doll. You know, like I was a girl from the 50’s who loves to dance to Elvis Presley’s music along with her friends at the nearest bar after leaving work.

This outfit is a modern version of the 50’s. Thanks to the mules and also the skirt, which isn’t as long as it was back then but still gives the feeling of the 50’s. What do you think of today’s outfit? Let me know.

Para mí lo divertido de la moda es que puedes expresarte a través de la ropa. Ya sea dar a conocer una época, un personaje o cómo te sientes. Es por eso que mis películas favoritas siempre tienen un buen vestuario. Es lo que más me llama atención de una película. Muchas veces me gusta vestirme para sentirme que soy un personaje. Me gusta disfrazarme mucho. Es por lo mismo que encuentro muy divertida la hora de elegir que usar para el día.

El día que me puse este atuendo me desperté sintiéndome como una muñeca. Como si fuera una chica de los años 50’s que quiere bailar con la música de Elvis Presley con sus amigas en el bar más cercano después de salir del trabajo.

Es claro que este atuendo es una versión más moderna de los 50’s porque traigo mules y aunque la falda no es tan larga como en ese tiempo, sigue dando esa sensación de los 50’s. ¿Qué les parece el atuendo?
