A Classic And Timeless Outfit For Fall
Have you ever wished you were from another era? Since I was a child, I have always wished I was from an era like the 50’s. I would have loved to live in Paris during the Roaring 20s–fashion back then was on point. During that time, women were starting to wear trousers thanks to WW1, and they had short hair. That’s how I got inspired to create this look!
Even though I’m not wearing pants, I’m wearing a black jumpsuit with a wide leg. This whole look makes me feel so powerful. During that time, women were fighting for freedom. Feminism was just getting started. They were survivors, and finally, they were having fun.
Women have had a long fight for freedom and rights. We are in 2018 and still, we have a long ways to go to finally have control of our ideas, body, and our lives. Now we have the #METOO Movement, and smart and wonderful women in Congress. I’m so excited for us as women with everything happening now.
If you’re wondering where the pieces of this outfit are from, here they are below. Also, I want to point out that you don’t need to spend a lot of money to have a classic and chic look. The oversized coat is from Goodwill, and the black jumpsuit was on sale at TJ Maxx. This pearl necklace is from my aunt went she was young. This trendy hat is from Target and finally, the booties are from Aldo. I think the booties are the most expensive item at $120.The other items were less than $30!
I have worn all of these pieces several times and in so many different ways. You can see more on my Instagram! I like to have more classical pieces that can work in so many different ways. I hope you enjoy the look!
